The film has got controversies from the beginning of the starting after looking to the bold content, Don't compare with Hindi movies like Insaaf Ka Tarzu, Bandit Queen and Fire. Makers organised a nude contest, The winner will win a chance to a nude beach trip. 

Producer of the movie Rajkumar Hindusthani told, "We were looking forward to the release as we have received a mind-boggling response for our promotional activities. But the censor board's instructions to have numerous cuts and mutes in the controversial scenes, dialogues and cuss words have come as a shock to us. We are now in a dilemma and the entire decision-making team will soon deliberate on the next course of action,"
