Akhil- The Power of Jua, is the new Tollywood film of Akhil, this is his debut movie as lead actor, This movie is directed by V. Vinayak who also debuted the Alludu Seenu movie son of Belamkonda Suresh Chirutha and Produced by Nithin and his father Sudhakar Reddy releasing on the Sresht Movies banner. This movie is featured with Akkineni Akhila and Sayesha Saigal who are marking their debut movie in Tollywood films. Anup Rubens and S. Thaman composed the soundtracks.

Story is all about the attempt of bringing a special stone name Jua from a village, Akhil will be working as a tourist guide in America, One fine day he will meets Sayesha Saigal who will be pursuing her PG in US, One fine day both of them falls in love, But Akhil will come to know that Sayesha was kidnapped by some unknown person, In search of her he will go to South Africa forests where he will come across with tribals.

He comes to know that about the Golden ball named Jua, which is treated as God by tribals. Akhil knows that there is a link between the Sun and the Jua. The person who ever touches the ball, something good will happens to him. We have to see whether Akhil touches the ball or not?

Comedy King Brahmanandam is playing full-length comedy with Akhil in this film, 'his sequences with Akhil are set to tickle the funny bone of the audience. Akhil also boasts of high-quality visual effects and perhaps the delay in the graphics is cited as one of the reasons for the delay of the film."

Actor is planning a gift to the Akkineni fans, "Special Shows will begin form midnight 12 AM in big cities. In a statement producers revealed, Prasads Imax has agreed to screen the movie on their large Imax screen daily five shows. Since the movie has rich visuals and made with high technical standards, it will be a feast to watch it on Imax screen," they said. They also added that the movie will be screened in 168 centers in USA."

Akkineni Akhil about his Debut movie Akhil:

“I wasn’t forced to take up acting; I was asked what I wanted to do,” he says. Much before the formal announcement of his entry into cinema, the youngster was known for his interest in racing and cricket. “I love to be outdoors. If I choose a holiday destination, it would be a beach. As a child I had a lot of energy and took to sports. One of the reasons why I went to Australia to study was to play cricket."

Reason for postponement of the movie:

“There were reports that my dad postponed the film to make way for Bruce Lee. The film was delayed only for the graphics,

He admits he was stressed with the delay. “Naturally, it’s my debut film. But I’d like to state that my dad is the reason for the film to be ready now. The visual effects were done on time but we weren’t happy with how the climax shaped up. Graphics had to be reworked and my dad gave us direction.

Citing the case of Baahubali, which was postponed due to visual effects work, Akhil says, Only Mr. Rajamouli would know how tough it was. We learnt the tough way not to announce the release date before seeing the graphics.”
